Brian Bridgeman is the Commissioner of Planning and Economic Development for the Regional Municipality of Durham. In this position, he is responsible for establishing and implementing a long-term vision for the growth and prosperity of the Region.
He is a graduate of the University of Waterloo’s School of Planning, and also has a Diploma in Public Administration from Western.
He is a Registered ProfessionalPlanner and during his career, Brian has worked in both the private and public sectors. Recently, Brian has been involved in the implementation of the Region of Durham’s 2019 Broadband Strategy. Transformative projects are underway to improve the well-being and economic competitiveness of Durham’s residents and businesses.
