Chief Clemons is the “first”in her family to join the Fire Service, a career she had not thought possible to pursue. She served the City of Boynton Beach Fire Department for 24 years starting from a Probationary Fire fighter EMT, Paramedic, Operator Engineer, Lieutenant,Captain, Battalion Chief and promoted through every rank “always” in the top three up to Deputy Chief. Responsibilities included Fire Administration, Operations and Emergency Management. Management responsibilities included Fleet and Facilities Management, multi-level supervision of more than 100 employees, prepared and developed operations budget for Fire and Rescue Services. Coordinated and collaborated to enhance ISO Requirements for the City of Boynton Beach Fire Rescue Department. Chief Clemons is currently the Fire Chief for the City of Forest Park. 

Chief Clemons has been a professional member of the Fire Service, starting out in her hometown, the City of Boynton Beach in theRecreation Department then was hired in the Fire Department in 1996. Chief Clemons was born to Ernest Clemons and Brendolyn Ireland and have two sisters. She attended all the local schools in the City of Boynton from elementary to middle school and graduated from Santa luces HighSchool in 1996. While growing up, softball was her passion which led to receiving a two-year scholarship to attend Santa Fe Community College in Gainesville, Florida.

After two years of college, Latosha had to go back home due to financial reasons and during this time she was hired with the City of Boynton Beach as a camp counselor before being encouraged to attend the Fire Academy. Chief Clemons formal education consists of: MA Degree Executive Management, St. ThomasUniversity, BA Degree Organizational Leadership, St. Thomas University,Graduate, Executive Fire Officer Program, National Fire Academy, Executive Management, Carl Holmes Executive Development Institute, AS Degree Fire ScienceTechnology, Palm Beach CommunityCollege, AS Degree Emergency Medical Services, Palm Beach State College and a variety of certifications and licensures.

She is the Standing President of Gold Coast Progressive Firefighters, and a proud member of the National Coalition of 100 Black Women serving as the Chapter President, a member of Women in Fire serving as the Southeast Trustee, a member of International Association of Black Professional Firefighters (IABPFF) and International Association of Fire Chiefs (IAFC).Latosha has a passion for community, which motivates her to continue growing in her personal and professional life.
