Salima Ebrahim is the Chief of Staff and Corporate Lead for Anti Racism and Reconciliation for the City of Edmonton. She builds deep, trusted relationships and executes significant strategic, operational, and cultural agendas calling for considerable changes in complex, multi-stakeholder environments. With more than 20 years’ experience in government and community relations, policy, strategy and business operations, she solves complicated issues with political dexterity and public and private sector business acumen. 

Prior to joining the City of Edmonton, Salima was the Executive Director with a national public policy forum, a former management consultant with Deloitte, and a fellow with the Minorities and Indigenous Relations unit with the United Nations Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights, based in Geneva. 

Salima is an active volunteer and is currently serving as a Director with CARE Canada, a Director with Definity Foundation and is a board member with the Canadian Museum of Immigration at Pier 21. She is an alumnus of the University of Alberta (BA, Political Science and Sociology) and the London School of Economics (MSc, Public Policy and Administration), and has received several awards for public service leadership, including being a recipient of Avenue Magazine’s Top 40 under 40, a SHEInnovator that profiles Alberta women who are working to solve complex challenges in our province, and a national “Women Who Inspire'' recipient.
